For 13 months, the researchers have been monitoring the signals from the depths of the Observed from space until they could determine their cycle. What is new and special about these signals from space is that they occur rhythmically, in a precise pattern. They appear every 16.35 days and keep a strange rhythm. For example, the FRBs come every hour for a period of 4 days, then there is radio silence for exactly 12 days. During this time they are completely silent. The Canadian researchers were able to prove the origin of the rapid radio bursts. They call this source of signals from space "FRB 180916.Jo158+65". This is said to be a spiral galaxy similar to the Milky Way, located far away, about 500 million light years from Earth.

There is currently still no unanimous opinion on what causes the rapid radio flashes and where exactly they come from. For years they were considered unpredictable and seemingly aimless energy spurts through space. However, its cause still remains unknown. For example, astrophysicists led by Harvard professor Abraham Loeb suggest the radio bursts could be traces of "advanced alien technology." Only at certain positions of the orbits could the radio flashes penetrate outwards. But there is also another scenario, which is also spreading quickly. After that, this could be a binary system. For example, from a rapidly rotating neutron star and another massive star, a binary star system is formed. Especially in the case when the magnetic fields of the two individual stars collapse.
The researchers have developed a new theory based on the newly discovered regular radio signal. This states that it is an object orbiting a star or another celestial body. The signals would potentially be disrupted if the other body blocked the source. This is how radio silence comes about here on Earth. But it still remains a mystery why the source emits rhythmic signals at all. This and much more remains open to us and requires further research.
