She will certainly celebrate her anniversary with family and friends, but she will be far away from the limelight, just as she keeps everything in her private life away from the media. Despite her modesty, Steffi is not only celebrated in Germany today, but also in many other countries around the world, where tennis fans still love her dearly and appreciate her sporting and life achievements to date. For many young athletes, Steffi is a living tennis icon, a real tennis legend who, with her 22 Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold, simply remains unsurpassed. We are all proud of the "Countess" and always admire "Miss Vorhand" - successes on the tennis court. On the occasion of her 50th birthday, we want to take a quick look at tennis player Steffi Graf's stunning sports career and also lift the veil on her family life with Andre Agassi.

Exactly 50 years ago, Stefanie Maria Graf was born in Mannheim and grew up in Brühl. As a three-year-old girl, she picked up a tennis racket for the first time and began training with her father, Peter Graf. At 13 she joined the professional tennis world. Hard training and incredible discipline soon paid off. Shortly before her 18th birthday, Steffi Graf won the French Open in 1987, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the tournament in Paris. In 1988 she celebrated her greatest success - the Golden Slam. Within a year she won four Grand Slam tournaments, namely Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open. This record remains unattainable to this day!

Together with Boris Becker, you triumphed in the 1989 Wimbledon final and wrote the history of the white sport.

Both famous and popular German athletes have made tennis a popular sport in Germany.

In addition, Steffi Graf was at the top of the world rankings for 377 weeks during her active tennis career, which is considered to be her absolute best. Steffi is also credited with the fastest win in the final of a Grand Slam tournament. That was at the French Open in 1988, when the exceptional German athlete triumphed over Natalia Zvereva 6-0, 6-0 in 32 minutes. During her tennis career, Steffi Graf won almost 20 million euros in prize money, part of which she invests in her "Children for Tomorrow" foundation and fights against child persecution and other forms of organized violence.

Today, Steffi Graf can be seen on the jury of the biggest tennis tournaments.

"Tennis has ruled my whole life, it's hard to let go," says the Countess.
